Where to Catch 49ers vs. Ravens Matchup Online: Super Bowl 2013 Live Stream

February 3, 2013 2013 Super Bowl

The wait is almost over, as the time is getting ever closer for the San Francisco 49ers and Baltimore Ravens to face off in Super Bowl XLVII.

Every year there are plenty of compelling storylines that dominate the pregame buildup. This season in particular has been very engrossing.

There’s the impending retirement of Ray Lewis. Colin Kaepernick and Joe Flacco will be looking to cap off what have been some of the better playoff runs ever by a quarterback. Two brothers—Jim and John Harbaugh—oppose each other on the sidelines.

The Super Bowl will be the most watched television program in America. Luckily, for those unable to watch the game on TV, CBS is streaming the game live online.

Here’s a quick preview to get you ready for what could be an epic game.

Even without all of the deer antler spray controversy, Lewis was bound to be the person of interest for the media. He’s one of the greatest linebackers in the history of the NFL. It would be a storybook ending for a great player like him to go out on top.

Lewis has been fantastic in these playoffs beyond just the inspiration factor. He’s recorded 25 tackles in the three games leading up to the Super Bowl.

In his last game, you better believe Lewis will be leaving everything he has left in the tank on the field. Hits will be made and tears will be shed no matter how the Super Bowl ends.

Key San Francisco 49ers Player to Watch: Colin Kaepernick

Colin Kaepernick’s record-breaking 181 yards rushing against the Green Bay Packers in the Divisional Round will be remembered forever. While his numbers were down in the NFC Championship Game, Kaepernick put in just as good a performance against the Atlanta Falcons.

It’s hard to believe the second-year star has made just nine starts in his NFL career.Kaepernick has shown the poise and composure of a 10-year veteran.

There’s no chance that he’ll be eaten alive by the pressure that playing in a Super Bowl brings. If anything, Kaepernick will feed off of it.

The 49ers’ success will be in large part to how well Kaepernick is able to break down an invigorated Ravens defense.

Prediction: Baltimore Ravens 27, San Francisco 49ers 21

With two weeks to try to figure out a game plan, John Harbaugh and Dean Pees will have found a defense that will at the very least slow down Kaepernick.

That is the key for the Ravens. Frank Gore is a very good running back, but it will be very hard to carry the entire offensive burden if Kaepernick fails to perform.

On the other side, Joe Flacco will be trying to ascend to a different class of NFL quarterbacks. He’s gone from the outhouse to the penthouse in the span of three playoff games.

It’s hard to separate these teams too much. Neither looks to have a major advantage over its opponent. There will be plenty of points scored, but the game’s gonna be close.

The Ravens get the slight edge with the experience they have on defense and how they’ve continued to beat the odds so far in 2013.
